Located between Kirkwall and Stromness on the Germiston Road, Bachylis has breathtaking views over Scapa Flow, Waulkmill's sandy beach, Kirbister Loch and the Orphir hills.
It is an ideal base from which to tour Orkney's historic sites, nature reserves or visit the smaller islands.
You could take advantage of the free trout fishing on many of the Orkney lochs, with Kirbister Loch a few hundred yards away, or why not try your hand at diving with a local dive school, or just sit back and relax and have a meal in the local pubs.
Also excellent opportunities to go hill walking within easy walking distance just behind the house, all we ask is you leave gates secure as Bachylis is located on a working farm.
Unfortunately we do not accept pets at Bachylis.
All facilities, doctor, hospital, police, shopping etc. are available in Kirkwall, only seven miles away, with the bus routes nearby. Post office and pub are all to be found locally.

Bachylis self catering has provided quality self catering accommodation for over 15 years. We have many happy returning customers and look forward to welcoming new customers. Bachylis is located in a central location for visiting the many local sites. Restaurants and pubs can be found close by.
During peak season bookings are taken on a Saturday to Saturday basis with check in from 2pm and check out before 11am. We are able to do short breaks and other weeks outwith the peak season. Please contact us for more information.
